2nd Annual Mnoominkewin Festival

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at our Second Annual Mnoominkewin Festival September 25, 2021!

Curve Lake First Nation Chief and Council have again given their permission to use the Curve Lake First Nation Powwow Grounds as our base. We will gather together, in a COVID-19 safe manner, to plant and gather Manoomin, to learn traditional processing techniques, to listen to Manoomin teachings from Elders and Knowledge Keepers, to sing and share old and new songs, and to revive our Anishinaabemowin language.

Participation will be limited to 100 people this year and all COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed.

Many thanks to the United Church Healing Fund for its financial support of this year's Festival, to Public Energy for their financial and technical support, and to Night Kitchen for their donation.

You can join in this beautiful day by making a tax-receipt eligible donation here. Scroll down to the "Fund" box and select "Mnoominkewin Festival" from the drop-down menu.
