Here's the basics for cooking wild rice:
Measure out your wild rice, remembering that you will use 1 part wild rice and 3 parts water.
Rinse the wild rice.
Add 3 parts water to one part wild rice.
Bring to a hard boil and stir.
Lower heat to keep the rice at a simmer.
Cook for 45 min until rice triples in size and puffs out.
